They posted on ig saying the rest will be by mid March but I hope they release some sooner
I wonder if thereās any chance theyāll release next week too like last year
Out of state.
Iām wondering the same thing (about it suggesting odds are longer for those who havenāt heard yet). It makes some sense that theyād release acceptances first, especially in a year with so much uncertainty on both sides. If they release some acceptances and see a surprising yield rate, that could affect their decision-making on remaining applications for kids on the bubble. Whereas thereās really no upside or learning for the school if they release some rejections.
Deferred in Decemberā¦ but received an acceptance earlier this week. OOS, Undecided Major, 3.8W GPA. Hope that means more decisions are coming for you all soon!
Did they release more in late February last year? Or was it just mid Feb drop and one last drop mid-March?
Seems like there are a lot of factors in play - VT got 41,000/+25% over last year, NC State had an increase in RD applications and deferred a ton of folks in EA - wonder how all students applying to these three and other state universities are adding to gaming these colleges go through, especially considering all the data they get from Common App
hi thereā¦ .when did he apply for housing? thank you.
there are definitely Jewish students at U of SC and it will increase as more students from the NE enroll.
Thanks. Youāre the first comment in 13 days. My daughter thinks there is but in The Forward, a magazine that ranks schools, U of SC is near the bottom. My daughter does love Charleston and it has a sizable presence. You of SC does have a Jewish studies minor and my daughter is in Honors.
My daughter grew up as the only Jewish kid in her school so she does crave that in the next stage. Ultimately she needs to do some homework and reach out to the community.
Appreciate your comment
I believe it was early December.
disregardā¦ canāt figure out how to delete
Does anyone know if some regular decisions will come out tomorrow? We were told that multiple groups would be notified by mid-March. Number one choice is UofSC but was deferred in December, so hoping for an acceptance during regular decision.
When does UofSC advise of merit and financial aid?
They are saying mid March
I have a 3.5 UW, 3.82 weightedā¦ I got deferred early action and am hoping to get in regular decision. When will we hear back? And is It still possible to get a scholarship if I havenāt heard yet? Also, do you think I have a good chance?
Hi @lucmil123 - yes, you have a great chance, I will be surprised if you arenāt accepted. And yes, you will still be eligible for scholarship money. I learned 5 years ago when my oldest was applying that early action is really only a benefit for those who are well above the schools threshold. They take all the others and defer them. Good luck to you
stats?
Did USC mail letters/packets after acceptance this year?
yeah, it takes a couple days to a week
