I’m really confused on whether I should go through all the effort of applying to Yale (take ACT/SAT, essays, etc.), or if I should just settle with transferring to the U of Toronto. I know Yale’s transfer acceptance rates are close to impossible, so would it be worth going through all of the effort of even applying?
It depends on how competitive you are to get in. U of Toronto is also a good school but a very different atmosphere and size from Yale.
That’s another issue too. My GPA is 3.8 right now and I think my essays will be pretty good since I have a legitimate “academic reason” for wanting to attend. But I haven’t taken the SAT or ACT yet (I’m Canadian), so I don’t know what my score will be like, and my extracurriculars aren’t that great either.
the transfer process is extremely emotionally and mentally draining. it’s not worth the process unless you’re 100% sure you want to.
