I applied to UVA and W&M too, last year. I was waitlisted on both and chose not to accept the offer because I wouldn't hear back until June. Here are my stats:

ACT: 31
(Superscore was 32)
Average SAT II's - I should have paid more attention to these!
AP Euro 4
AP Lit 4
AP Chem 3
GPA: 4.1 weighted
Top 10% out of 100 students
Very good rec letter
Varsity Tennis - 4 years, 1 year captain
1 year varsity track
Student Anthology Editor
Who's Who
Published Author
Organized School Food drive for AR Rice Depot

Accepted: U of Arkansas, Baylor, Rhodes (Scholarship offers at all 3)
Waitlisted: the two above
Rejected: Georgetown, Northwestern, Vanderbilt

I should have applied to more MATCH schools! Oh well, I'm going to Rhodes, one of my two matches (along with Baylor), and I'm very excited! Hope this helps!

UConn will be a reach, and almost surely rejected if you're out of state.

For UVA, your GPA and test score are fairly low, and even if you're an in-state student, you might have a tough time getting in. I wouldn't expect you to get in if you're out of state (unless you write some essays which really blow the admissions people away...)
