HI all ! I am new here and I have some burning question regrading the College Admission in US.

I am a US citizen but I am currently taking high school courses at Singapore. If I am to attend Singapore university , I will be taking the GCE A LEVEL examination which is about the same as the SAT in US.

The question is , if I wanted to return to US and enroll to US college without going through high school again , then am I considered as a International student or freshman ?

What do I need to submit other than the SAT scores ?

I have relatives at US but my parents are not US citizen and they are not living in US. Then which state am I in ? Will I qualify to apply for in-state tuition ?

If you are a US citizen you will probably not be considered international.

You are unlikely to qualify for in state tuition because most States require you and your parents to have been residing in the State for at least a year, often 2, prior to enrolling in College.

Okay, from what I know... You will be considered an American citizen when you apply to US colleges, but your app will actually go to the international admissions office.

So, you sort of get a win-win. You get the added bonus of having the international experience, but you don't have to compete with the international applicant pool, which I would say is more competitive since there are fewer spots for them in college.
