Thank you for reading this SUPER long post haha! I definitely appreciate any inputs you all have :)

There is no way to know exactly where you stand, but you look to be in an excellent position. Keep up those excellent grades and the varsity track and field; those will make the biggest difference. The Naval Academy wants great students with very good physical fitness.

If you want it, go for it and forget about the chances. Also, if you are serious about a Navy career, then you definitely should apply for a Navy ROTC scholarship. California has some great state universities with NROTC, including Berkeley, UCLA, and UC-San Diego.

You definitely have great chances, but USNA is very random in its admissions. One way to improve your chances is to attend Boys State over the summer. It adds tons to your WCS. Also, practice SAT’s aren’t the best predictor of what your real score will be, take that from personal experience!

you should totally apply with those stats. High chance of acceptance

Definitely apply for and do Boys State, but also apply for NHS National Honor Society if your school has a chapter, and check in to your local Rotary chapters. They typically have summer leadership weeks too; my son went to one and it was great. Summer and/or part-time employment counts too.

Hi all! Thanks so much for all your inputs! However, pmcolorado and craigburke21, I am assuming that Boys State is for boys (I’ve never heard of it personally); I am actually a female haha

Girls State is for females.
