UArts pre-college

<p>hello!
I looked into UArts (The University of the Arts) in PA and saw that they had a 4-week long summer program. Considering the location, I won't have to pay housing costs which was definitely something my parents liked the idea of! </p>

<p>I was wondering if anyone has had personal experiences with UArts and how it went. I hope to go for Graphic/Web design, if it helps any.</p>

<p>PS. I'm not planning on attending the school after HS, just would like a good summer program to experience to help my portfolio and my decision on whether or not to go to an art school.</p>

<p>Having toured there when they had work up by seniors who were about to graduate, I would say they have excellent graphic design and illustration departments.</p>

<p>My daughter attended UArts summer program after her junior year of high school and loved it. It definitely helped build her portfolio for art school applications and the experience confirmed her decision that she belonged at an art school. Apply as early as possible to get first choice of the courses you would like to take.</p>
