UBC chances?

Hi! I’m a Canadian female grade 12 student. I’ve started my application for UBC, but I’m stuck on selecting which faculties to apply to. I’d ideally like to study biology, so I’ll be choosing Science as my first choice. However, I’m torn between Arts and Sauder (Commerce) as my second option. I’d rather go to Sauder, but I’m not sure if there’s a point in applying to Sauder and Science, as if I do not get into Science it’s unlikely I’ll get into Sauder! Anyways, here are my marks from my grade 11 year:

Bio 11- 93
Socials 11- 88
French 12- 88
Pre-Calc 12- 92 (retaking a test in this that brought my mark down, hoping to bring it to 93/94)
Chem 11- 93
English 12- 90
Physics 11- 95

(currently taking Bio 12, Physics 12, Chem 12, Calc 12, Psych 100/101, English 110/111) - my school does not offer any AP courses, I am taking the most rigorous course load offered

Also, my EC’s are decent: 15 hrs intensive program dance per week, piano, (recreationally, stopped doing RCM exams a few years ago) finalist for national pageant, (lots of volunteering) concert choir at school, peer leadership at school, pep squad at school

I’ve also been published in a poetry book, and won second place in some school competitions, but I’m not sure if these count towards anything/if I should even bother mentioning them.

I know UBC is pretty tough for admissions, I’m not sure if I’m a good candidate for my programs.

Chances??

lol update if anyone is looking at this in the future I was accepted to UBC sciences

Congratulations!

Just so this could be used as a reference, I would say that you are likely to get in. Your EC’s are not decent, but GREAT. Your grades are competitive.

However, please note that the personal profile is also about achievements and the ability to overcome struggles and not just EC’s.
