I’m an international IB student ,and my prediced grade was 38. By now I’ve received many offers including UBC, UW, Queens, and U of A. But so far i still haven’t heard any messages from U of T. Is it still possible for UT to give me an offer? And which of these schools is best in engineering?

Ive gotten into UBC and Toronto, for lifesciences/biology right now, and I chose BC. I think you can still get into Toronto, your IB score is really good. For engineering it depends, I think UBC and Toronto are nicely matched, from what Ive seen BC is harder to get into for engineering(applied science) cause of the higher cutoff but Toronto is harder to do well in. Honestly if you have ANY plans for grad school, i wouldnt go to Toronto, ive heard the horror stories of ls/engineering students time and time again. Good Luck!

Thanks~I think i’ll probobally go to UBC. Anyway, vancouver is a really nice city. By the way, what about future job oppertunities for engineers in vancouver and toronto?

I know UBC has great co-op opportunities for engineers, and a lot of those companies hire you after you graduate if you maintained a good relation while working there. UBC’s engineers are famous for the prank, hanging a volkswaggen off the golden state bridge in San Francisco, it got a lot of attention. Overall I think it gives a lot of opportunities after graduation. Good Luck with your decision, hopefully I see you in the fall.
