<p>How competitive is UBC science program? what average do you need to get in?
does it prepare you well for medical school because i eventually want to go to UCLA med school.

<p>For UBC science you’d want an average GPA of 3.5+, although 3.75+ is often preferred. And about 1900+ on the SAT (or 28+ on the ACT).</p>
<p>That said, what are your stats (and ECs since UBC has holistic admissions)</p>
<p>well im from ontario, canada so we dont have GPA here. but i think a 3.5 would translate to an 85 average. and i wont have to take the SAT.
i have an 89 % average and i do a lot of volunteer instruction for tennis in the summers. but im also thinking that i should join some school clubs.</p>

<p>UBC asks for 85%+ from Ontario students for pre-med. At 89% I’d say you’re a match due to the weakness of ECs.</p>
