Not a big surprise here…I do not believe they can create a test that will result in a different outcome than occurs with the SAT/ACT.
So if you are admitting a larger number of kids that would not score highly on the standardized exams, does quality go down? With grade inflation in high schools and colleges will anyone be able to tell?
I have to say that I thought from the outset that the “alternative exam” idea was ridiculous.
I am going to be interested to see if colleges start asking for exam scores again.

Page does mention exploring the use of the state assessment (Smarter Balanced) for such things as placement into frosh-level writing courses, but not admissions.
