i was wondering how to record grades for ap classes on the UC application. my school district has a policy where every grade in an AP class is automatically increased by 8 points if it is 77 or above, so the actual grade on the transcript (and report cards) is actually my actual grade + 8 points. my question is do i include those 8 points when i report my semester grades or is that something that is factored in at a later time?

Are you saying that the grade in the class is increased by 8 points if you score above a 77 on the ap test in May? Whatever the grade you received on your report card is the grade the UCs want to see on the application.

I have the same problem. The problem with that is that when they look at your transcript, they are going to see bloated grades like 105 and 106 because points are added to the averages.

asap, i am talking about semester grades. say my semester grade was a 95, but since it is an ap class and the score is above a 77, i automatically get a 103. my dilemma is what grade do i put in? the 95 or 103?

if it shows up on your official transcript as a 103, then you put down 103. otherwise, put down whatever shows up on your official transcript, because that's what they use to verify your grades (after you have been admitted).
