I submitted UC application already. But, how did you guys copy and paste your personal statement? I mean, How did you separate paragraphs?

Paragraph one looks like this: blah blah blah blah blah paragraph one goes here blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.

Paragraph two: If there's a second paragraph in your personal statement, there's a line break (or a double space, if you prefer) and so forth.

haha...All three of my essays were just one big paragraph. =[

Well, it does help separate the ideas in your essays to help the reading transition a little better. Not a that big of a deal though.

In my answer to #3 (200 words) I had like 10 paragraphs (1-2 sentence paragraphs).

Didn't they teach you in junior high that paragraphs were 3-4 minimum? :)

I was taught it was 5. And the great 5 paragraph essay--Intro, 3 body, conclusion.

It angers me how low expectations are of kids--that they won't be able to understand there are exceptions. All it does is confuse them. They go and read essays that are different and don't get it.

The main problem is they don't teach things from a holistic perspective. That's why so many kids hate math, and so many kids have trouble in really any course. They should spend a long time building the groundwork of writing, how the point is communication, before they think about rigid forms!

thanks, guys!

Maybe you can become a teacher and change the system with your radically new ideas!

Nice--living up to your username!

Nice--living up to your username!

And what if I were being serious? What have you say to that?

Then I'd say that is funny because they are not radically new ideas. Ideas are great !

I see I shouldn't be sarcastic twice in a row. It must screw people up regarding my intentions. :(
