UC Apps update

Does it matter how late you turn it in? I was going to wait until I get my schedule set up before I turn it in. And my school doesn't start till the 22nd. Should I wait?

ya it doesnt matter at all.....;;;

When I logged into MyBerkeley site last night, it said you have until Feb 15th (roughly...don't exactly remember) to update, and if you don't by then it could jeopardize your application.

But with that being said, don't just take my word for it. For something this important I recommend you find out fully from an official source before deciding to wait.

Good luck!

Just note that there are three schools that have a priority deadline of January 31. So, I would recommend submitting it once before that deadline. If your schedule changes submit the form again in February. University of California - Admissions - The University of California offers one of the broadest ranges of study of any institution of higher learning in the world, all at an affordable price.

Yeah, I intend to turn it in before the deadline. Also if I did not take a winter course, should I say in the comment box that it is optional? My school goes by semester and we have intersession which is winter classes and I did not take any courses during this time. I was going to write how it was optional and I spent the time studying for a placement exam for General Chemistry and I had to help my brother move to his new house.

Also, if im coming from a cal state, IGETC and General Education (GE) requirement at a UC campus does not apply to me right? I should just choose not applicable, correct?

I'm going to submit mine on 1/24 because that's the date I register for spring classes. I don't want to give incorrect information and go through the hassle of correcting it. It will still be submitted on time.

If I'm from a Cal State, IGETC and General Education (GE) requirement at a UC campus does not apply to me in the Apps Update right?

Eh, if I understand correctly they're still concerned with whether or not you'll have completed your GE when you transfer. Now, of course IGETC isn't an option for you. Is there some sort of similar agreement between the CSU and UC systems? If not, you'll just have to guess what will fulfill requirements.

--Joe

I turned it in last night. I figured it wouldn't make a lot of difference in my gpa waiting for one winter course anyway.

how can you be sure that it has been submitted? is it the thing that says

Last Submitted "insert date here"

im going to send it 1/30ish... by then ill know exactly what i am going to take during spring/ may be my winter grade!

Does anyone know what I should do about the IGETC and General Education (GE) requirement section in the apps if I'm coming from a Cal State? Should I choose "Not Applicable"?

it doesn't make a difference between now and the deadline date does it? do they evaluate your app faster if you update now? i have some stuff to sort out still with my school.

dragon- not at all...

bump.. anyone have an answer to my question?

From a CSU, IGETC is not avilable so “N/A” is the correct choice. Similarly, since you are not at a UC campus selecting “N/A” for completing the GE requirements at a UC campus is the correct choice.

Thank you UCD Admissions. I can always count on you for an answer.

I have another question. It says "If you will have completed a transferable college course in mathematical concepts and quantitative reasoning prior to transfer, list it below: "

I took AP Calc and got a 3 in high school. My school gave me credit for that and i passed the math test before entering college. But I'm majoring in Civil Engineering which means i had to take more math courses, but I'm not sure which math course to put in the update?

List any course you think meets the UC-M requirement.

i just updated my UC app... feels so good! i just gotta finish my Berkeley thing before 2/15
