*****UC Berkeley 2021 Applicants Thread*****

Accepted to College of Letters and Sciences as a bio major with Regents! In-state and no LOR. I was not aware that Cal notified students early, and I did not know about the Regents scholarship. I just found an email from Cal in my spam folder today and mindlessly opened it. After being deferred to my ED school, I was really anxious about the whole admissions process, but this has definitely reassured me. Good luck to the rest of you (:

Have any international applicants been awarded Regents??

@curiousgeorgerp @acrogymnast What are your stats like?

Hey MET People, how about we make a groupme?

Just got this email:

Dear Xxxxx,

We realize you’ve been anxiously awaiting your decision from UC Berkeley and want to let you know that your application is currently under review.

While you may have heard that a few applicants received notification of their decision, the majority of applications, like yours, are still under review.

Freshman decisions will be released approximately late afternoon / early evening (Pacific time) on March 30, 2017, via the MAP@Berkeley portal.

just got that email too…under review

Southern California applicant, accepted into EECS w/ Regents invite!

GPA 4.0 unweighted
SAT: 2370
SAT II: Math II: 800 Physics: 800 Chem: 790
AP: World History 5 Chem 5 Language 5 Calc BC 5

So just to check, everyone who got notified yesterday also got a regents invite right? I know some people where saying they didn’t but that’s just because they didn’t see the link at first right?

@LindsayHarvard I was admitted yesterday but I don’t have a link to Regents

Did everyone besides the people who already got in get the email saying their application is under review?

No, I didn’t get a Regents invite (yes, I’ve looked for the link), but I’m OOS.

For any students that want to join here is a class of 21 groupme:

Did anyone get a rejection email?

@Foodlover228579 I got that under review email too. I think it’s just the general blanket e-mail to let everyone know when they’ll release the rest of the decisions.

According to this UC PowerPoint, "Acceptance into the Computer Science (CS) major in Letters & Science is now as selective as Electrical Engineering & Computer Science (EECS) in the College of Engineering. "
What does this mean?

Our school does not offer gpa, but only offers % grade out of 100.

I wonder how they recalculate this to UC GPA.
Please explain in detail. Thanks in advance.

@vicangie Found this on the net, and there are a few references within. Doesn’t talk about UCB, but should be follow similar logic: https://www.quora.com/How-can-I-convert-100-point-GPA-to-4-point-GPA

To those who got accepted to MET, did you all receive the interview invitation?

Also, I am a bit confused about how many people are goingt to be accepted. Is it in general 30, or 30 for each major combination?
