I mean I am neither from underrepresented minority nor low income.
I just have a question.
If I got leadership scholarship invitation, doesn’t that at least mean I am not in auto reject side?

@hansomeboy The third scholarship is the Kruttschnitt Aspire Scholarship Program.
@hansomeboy Haha sorry dude. I wish that were the case. Receiving the invite has no bearing on admissions. It’s based on demographics. Check out the clause at the end of the email.

So Berkeley is announcing decisions for 2000 admits on February 12.

“Additional admissions changes are occurring or have occurred at the Berkeley campus level. For the first time, UC Berkeley will be providing some student applicants with early notification that they have been admitted. While most prospective freshmen will learn of their admissions decision March 24, up to 2,000 students will be informed of their acceptance to Berkeley on Feb. 12. This group of high-achieving students will include students selected to interview for Berkeley’s most prestigious scholarship, the Regents’ and Chancellor’s Scholarship. The earlier notification will allow top students more time to explore the option of becoming a Berkeley student.”
So apparently “selection” for Regents’ and Chancellor’s scholarship is on February 2nd.
I got an email a month ago that said I will be notified my admission status on February 12th. I thought it was only for MasterCard Scholarship applicants.

@SunBeams I don’t think I am, because my stats tell otherwise. I have like pretty low SAT scores, and Yea, I was asked to submit LOR.
I am International applicant by the way.
@Dan786 From the article above, if you got an email that tells you your decision will be out early, February 12th, that means you are one of the 2,000 with early acceptance! That’s an awesome news!
