@graceann @madamechic Not everyone who applied got the Leadership Invite. In fact, I think it’s somewhere around 12,000 applicants who get the invite; however, this does not mean that you are definitely in. It’s a good sign though, but nothing for sure. I heard that about 50% get into the school. The committee that selects the scholarship and the committee that selects the admits are different, but being selected shows you have a good leadership portfolio with potential.
I’m pretty sure the leadership award means next to nothing, except for the fact that they noticed some leadership (Which you should have anyway). lmao
I agree. I got an invite and I only have one leadership position.
I have somewhat of a chance of getting into Cal but I don’t think I’m getting the early acceptance lol.
Does anyone know around what time those February 12th decisions should be coming out?
My SAT Subject Test dates are not on the “Application Checklist” part of my MAP portal, but my ACT score is. I had all my scores sent to Berkeley. I know all were sent because they shared the scores with the other UC’s I am applying to and the portals for those show that they have received both ACT and SAT subject tests. Does anyone else not have their subject tests scores listed as received on the application checklist?
@firstsax My Subject Test scores don’t appear either. Pretty sure they just don’t appear on Berkeley’s portal.
So the dates for your sat or act are there, but not the date of your subject tests? Sorry, just clarifying. Thanks.
Yeah, only my SAT date, no SAT subjects.
Ok thanks. They probably get a bunch of calls on that. They should just have them listed.
This from an admissions email:
"Your application portal only displays required or requested information. Information about supplemental testing such as SAT Subject exams, AP/IB exams, TOEFL/IELTS or any other supplemental information will not display on MAP@Berkeley.
The SAT and ACT information you provided on your UC application is what will appear on your MAP@Berkeley account. If you have made arrangements to have your official scores from College Board or ACT sent, this will not update on MAP@Berkeley. Please contact them directly to confirm those official scores have been sent. We verify official test scores after students have been admitted."
^^My official scores and self reported scores both show up on MAP tho @archersbow
So I self-reported my AP Scores and I never sent a score report because I believed that I did not need to send the official scores unless I was admitted. Plus, the AP score reports are super expensive. Am I correct or am I wrong?
@lyannastark You are correct.
You don’t need to send AP scores until you’re admitted…
Refer to this: http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/freshman/requirements/examination-requirement/
You do not send AP scores or any other transcripts and documents to the office. Should you be offered admission, you will be provided a link from which you can send this information to them for verification.
Did anyone receive both the UCB and UCLA alumni invites? According to the UCLA thread, it seems UCLA alumni invites are more selective than UCB? unsure…
I got both and I’m oos, but I didn’t get any supplemental requests
I also got both (OOS) and the letter of recommendation request from Berkeley.
yeah i got both (oos)
