^^ Pretty sure that the Regents Scholarship notification should come out much earlier. Based on threads two years ago, we should get a notification by February 9
Hey guys I have a quick question! Does Berkeley accept people by the major or by the school? Is there any chance I can get into the school but not get into the major that I want to study?

Does anyone know around what time we should find out on the 12th? Do we get an email or is it in the portal?
Also do usually only lower socioeconomic statuses get the Regent scholarship? Or is it just merit? Lastly, are all of the 2000 acceptances on the 12th going to be the the scholarship winners?
Does someone know if the 2000 acceptance on Feb 12 will be all regents, or some acceptances without regents?
@waddups I think they’ll all be Regents, but I’m not sure 
Are we all agreeing that Regents isn’t based on need, and it is only based on merit. This isn’t to sound obnoxious, but I did not apply for need at all and I don’t think I’m near qualifying and I want to know if I can get it on friday!
@jetynz It’s based on merit. The scholarship will give all demonstrated need, however.
It’s important to note that those notified on Feb. 12th will be Regents finalists, not winners. Finalists still have to go through an interview process. Not all will get Regents in the end, but being a finalist does mean acceptance. Good luck to everyone!
