Did you guys get the request via email? I haven’t received one yet, but my scores, GPA, and EC’s are in line with what I’m reading here…

2270, 4.3 W/3.95 UW GPA, decent SAT II, good essays, decent EC, submitted on 28th, haven’t gotten an email yet. I’m jealous now of those who got one lol. Might it be my major choice? I chose chemical biology…

How do the LORs get sent to Berkeley? I have two teachers who did mine for the Common App, can I just use those? Thanks.
I actually haven’t gotten a request yet, but do expect one. Seems random, IDK if the 20% number is accurate. Seems like everyone gets one within a week of submitting the application.
I don’t think LOR request is random. I know 40 other students who applied to Berkeley, and 8 of them received the request, each of which has very good stats.
@waddups You just receive an email that has a link that guides you how to request recommendations.
My payment page had an error and now it says to come back in 2-3 days to pay it. Hope this doesn’t cause any problems :S!!!
Did anyone receive link to the portal and how soon after submitting application did you get it?

@SnapApp I believe so! I just got requested yesterday 12/2, after submitting my app 11/25. Not sure when the requests will end though.
I see people stop posting about receiving LOR. I submitted mine on 11/25th and so far did not get request. CS under L&S. UC uncapped GPA 4.88. SAT 2300. Math 2 800, Biology 720. Was too scared to apply to EECS.
@SnapApp On the UC Berkeley website, they stated that the admission office will continue to request LORs during the first three weeks of December. Hope that helps!
