UC Berkeley Industrial Eng?

Hi all,

So I've applied to Berk as an industrial engineering major, and I've heard that it is the least impacted out of all of the engineering majors. Is that true?

There's actually little to no information about this major's difficulty of admission, rigor in curriculum, or anything really. If anyone can give me any information about industrial engineering at Berk that would be awesome!

Thanks!

From what I’ve heard, apparently there were only about 30 IEOR freshman admits this year.

The curriculum is described here:
[Undergrad Academic Programs](http://ieor.berkeley.edu/AcademicPrograms/Ugrad/index.htm)

Courses are described here:
[General Catalog - Industrial Engineering Courses](http://general-catalog.berkeley.edu/catalog/gcc_list_crse_req?p_dept_name=Industrial+Engineering&p_dept_cd=IND+ENG&p_path=l)

Most of the courses are math and statistics based, though there is less in the way of physics-based courses.

obsessedwithcars, where did you get this info from?

im curious to see how many IEOR applicants there were…

This is what I’ve heard, and from what I saw at the engineering orientation this last fall, it seems completely plausible.

IEOR + ORMS graduates numbered 59 in the class of 2012.
