I’m interested in going into premed for my undergrad, but i’m unsure whether to choose IB or MCB. Which one is better preparing and/or easier? I’m planning to become either a physician or cardiologist.
No specific major is required to do pre-med, though the pre-med course requirements must be fulfilled (as out-of-major electives if your major does not include them). About half of applicants and matriculants to MD medical schools in the US have an undergraduate major that is not a biological science.
Both IB and MCB major requirements cover most of the pre-med courses automatically, so either one would be “convenient” from that standpoint. Choose between them another majors based on your interests.
You can read about the different majors here:

Note that most pre-meds who apply to MD medical school in the US get no admission offers. Many pre-meds never apply due to GPA and MCAT scores not being high enough or choosing not to do so for other reasons. So consider backup plans if you do not go to medical school.
