UC Berkeley Media Studies Program

Hey you guys, I got accepted into Berkeley with a 3.62, and everyone I know has been telling me that I should be giddy with happiness. But I can’t really shake the fact that whenever I try to look up anything tangible on the Media Studies program at Berkeley…I can’t really find much. As compared to UCLA for example, which is extremely impressive. UCLA and SB denied me admission by the way, and I chose Berkeley over SD
Now I’m debating if I should reject my admission offer and just wait till the next application period and attempt to get into a different communication studies or media studies program.

Can a current/past Media Studies major at Berkeley give me some insight on what it’s like?
Or any student that knows anything about the program there?
How are the faculty? How exciting is it? I really don’t want to regret my decision.

Thanks, anything will be helpful to ease my mind here.

Frosh or transfer?

Transfer, thanks for the info but I’ve glossed that stuff over before.
I’m still looking for some personal input from students there.
