UC Berkeley or MIT?

<p>MIT or Berkeley...since you said you would be paying the same at both, I would pick MIT, in technical circles and general public, you can't beat the name brand.
People will be more impressed if you went to MIT, even though in engineering, Berkeley is just as good. </p>

<p>I think perhaps a better question, would be, what types of things you are interested in pursuing in college? Do these two schools offer them to you? Ultimately it's your decision, and one that you will have to live with, for at least 4 years.</p>

<p>Love Berkeley, but man: if you can afford it, get out of dodge. Go broaden your horizons. And if you want go back to Berkeley for grad. school.</p>
