UC Berkeley rescind policy

Hey,

So, I recently got accepted into UC Berkeley for LS, but hit some pretty bad senioritis this past second semester of my senior year. I have been a straight A student every other semester, but this semester I am on track to get a couple lower letter grades. Worst case scenario, I will finish this semester with (a, a, a, a, b, b, c), which honestly is not likely gonna happen. The best case scenario would be only 1 or 2 B’s. Both these scenarios are well above a 3.0 unweighted GPA. But some other UCs talk about ‘consistency’ and showing the same type of grades senior year as you did in previous years. While, Berkeley doesn’t explicitly saying anything about ‘consistency’ do they rescind offers even though students have above a 3.0.

Thanks brOdies

Unweighted GPA of 3.0, no more than 2 C’s and no D’s or F’s. You should be fine, but work on getting that C up to a B.

You are done for. Make sure to inform the University of your shortcomings and withdraw your application. Senioritis is a hell of a drug.

Sorry to bandwagon, but is the “3.0 UW avg” for each semester separately? Also, for the rescinding policy does UC Berkeley still calculate the gpa without +, - (for example, a B- is a 3.0)?

You’re good. I’m regents and I now got straight B’s. I even checked with them and they said i’m fine. @IndianSuperman don’t talk unless you know.

Did they happen to say anything about if they only count last semester or both semesters together?

Ok yeah thanks to all of y’all for clarifying.
