So I'm debating about which major i should declare: Sociology or PEIS. I am interested in both but am unsure about which major would give me better opportunities in the job market(in general). I also plan on going to graduate school(not sure which but not law).

on another note, does the PEIS major require that you take calc and is it pretty math heavy?
Thanks!

What are you planning on doing with sociology? Any ideas on the classes/teachers you want to take?
I’m trying to plan things out a bit before I get to CalSo…

I just got into peis, I took Calc w/ analytical geometry 1 and 2, stats, and business finite. It’s “recommended” that you take calc, which pretty much means yes, take calc. And political economy and peis are the same thing, so neither is better. There is only one major it just goes by variations of the same thing. It’s like media studies and mass communications, in the last few years Berk. has transitioned the name but it still goes by communications for some things.
