UC Berkeley vs. Wash U in St.Louis

Hi, I plan on doing pre-med at both schools, and I am OOS for Berkeley. Money isn’t going to be a factor in my decision. II am not the happiest with the weather and environment around WashU after living there for awhile and I definitely prefer the people at Berkeley. I would appreciate any advice!

Seems like you’ve already decided! They are both excellent schools, but quite different.

Some points to consider:

  • Cal’s student-faculty ratio is more than 2x than WashU
  • There are more than 4x more undergrads at Cal than at WashU
  • Where do you want to live/work after graduation? If California, you may find better connections at Cal.
