Hi, I want to apply for Berkeley's College of Engineering but it requires a SAT Science Subject Test Score and mine is a mere 670. Should I go the safe route and apply for the College of Letters and Sciences which does not require any science subject tests? Or should I just go for it YOLO and apply for engineering with my low score?

Hi katreetree, I am a senior who is also in the same situation as you - I’m not sure whether to go apply for physics in the college of letters and science, or for engineering, and my SAT IIs are not that great (690 math, 700 physics). You should probably consider though that in 2013-2014 UC Berkeley the acceptance rate for engineering was 9% which is about half that of normal admission. But I know that if you apply and get accepted into the college of letters and science, it is almost impossible to transfer into the college of engineering. So it depends on how much you want to be an engineer I guess.
