UC Blue and Gold Opportunity Plan

For the blue and gold plan they cant help cover the self contribution, but can they cover the federal loan sub. I would rather not have to take a loan.

The Blue and Gold promise only promises to cover the UC statewide fee amount…which is about $14k per year. If you’re planning on living on campus, etc, and the COA is $32k, then you’re going to get loans to cover those costs. You’re not going to be getting a $32k grant.

What is your EFC?

I can’ t find the efc but

Estimated Financial Aid Federal Direct Loan Sub $5,500.00 UCD Campus Fee Grant $525.00 Federal Pell Grant Program $5,550.00 Entering UG Scholarship $12,513.00 Total Estimated Financial Aid $24,088.00

I’m just wondering of blue and gold can find scholarships or grants to cover the loan. Rather then taking away from the ug scholarship.

Dam phone this should make it look better

Estimated Financial Aid
Federal Direct Loan Sub $5,500.00
UCD Campus Fee Grant $525.00
Federal Pell Grant Program $5,550.00
Entering UG Scholarship $12,513.00
Total Estimated Financial Aid $24,088.00

Since you got full Pell, then your EFC is 0

Your Entering Undergrad scholarship of $12,500 is the B&G Promise…that’s it.

You got a very generous FA package. There’s some expectation that you should have to fund some of your education costs…hence the loans. Were you given work-study as well?

thanks for your replies. No I did not get work study and the suppose it’s too late to apply for one. Thanks for telling me what I need to know.

hmmm…

When you submitted FAFSA, did you indicate that you didn’t want Work-study? If so, next year indicate that you do want it.

It looks like your aid will still be about $5k short…how will you cover that?

I did. Are supposed to tell you something about it?

???

You did what?

Did you indicate that you want work-study or did you indicate that you didn’t want work study?

When did you file FAFSA?

And how are you covering your shortfall?
