I never asked for nor claimed credibility. I was giving an opinion based on my knowledge. This is an anonymous board. Any one of us could be a ■■■■■.

Source, please? Or is this your opinion dressed up as “objective”?

(Hint: NRC has Stanford at #1, followed closely by Princeton & MIT. Going on down the list, UCSB CS is tied with Cal. Sure, still top 10, but not “objectively” #1.)

It was my Son’s close #2, and the only other school that he wanted to attend (besides #1). If he had not been rejected by Cal, he was prepared to attend a juco, cash in his AP credits and transfer to Cal after one year instead of any other UC.

Cal was my top choice behind Ivy Leagues. I feel that a degree from Cal in anything engineering-related would be seen by employers as comparable to an engineering-related degree from a school like MIT or Stanford.

Do take into account Cal’s proximity with SiVi.

If he wasn’t rejected by Cal, why would he attend a juco? Do you mean “If he had been rejected by Cal”?

UCBChem is my editor; thanx. :)
