UCs are very GPA and score focused. You donāt seem to meet the threshold for most of them.
so the āhollisticā approach is bs??
No, the holistic approach is there but the UCās usually screen using GPA and test scores first. Some UCās like UCB/UCLA and UCSB tend to be more holistic than others. As a Theatre major, you may have more leeway than other majors so all you can do is hope for the best since you have already applied. With luck, you may get a request for supplemental information to help enhance your application.
Yeah. ECās arenāt a problem. I have arguebely the best ECās and awards in my school. Iām taking the SAT again. Iāve been taking practiced tests and scored in the 1900+ range. So if I get a 1900 or 2000, how are my chances looking?
A higher SAT score will boost your chances but your GPA is a big problemā¦
In terms of percentage, what are my chances.
Your GPA is more the issue than your SAT score. Your current SAT score is on par for UCR and UCM. Your GPA however is below average for all the UCās. Bumping up your test score will help but with the UCās, GPA is king. Again, I know that with a lot of other colleges, Theater majors are reviewed differently so having great ECās and performance awards can overcome a less than stellar academic picture. For the UCās, I am not sure??? Did you apply to any other colleges beside the UCās such as Chapman, USC, Cal states?
Honestly it depends on which UC your talking about but your major will probably increase your chances
I also agree with Gumbymom, your GPA is more important than your SAT score and anything lower than a 3.5 is REALLY pushing it
Only applied to UCās. CC is safety. It was go big or go home. Lol
I had a very passionate Essay about theatre and performing on the national level. Are you saying I need a miracle. Lol
anyoneā¦
any other chancesā¦
Sorry I should have probably clarified myself a 3.5 GPA is pushing it for UCSD, UCLA, UCB, UCSB, UCD, and UCI
^ the average GPA for those schools are around 4.0
Sorry if I scared youā¦ >.>
anyone else know some stuff of about theatre majors
what percentage out of 100? for UCD, UCM, UCI, AND UCSC

You could maybe get into UCM or UCR, but Iām not sure which ones you applied to.
