im applying to UCLA, CAL, UCSD, UCI. California resident. want to major in biology

STATS:
GPA: UW 3.75
W: 4.15 (With the 8 semesters capped)
SAT: 2100
SAT2: 680 USHIST.
680 BIO
700 MATH2C

ECs are decent. Clubs, sports, volunteer work etc. No big awards except for principles honor roll and National Merit Commended Student.

opinions anyone?

Cal - slight reach... they really stress great academic records

UCSD and UCI are absolute gaurantees.

You have a good chance at UCLA and Berkley because your stats are good and you are from California. However, there are plenty of people like you, so it depends largely on your essays and recs. Furthermore, now that both these schools have adopted an approach to have one person determine each candidate, rather than people looking at parts, the essays and recs play a bigger role.

It would also help if you were ELC, but I don't know if you are?

well, UCLA avg gpa is 4.2 weighted with a 2010, UCB a 4.1 with a 2030ish. So you should be matches for both schools; however, if you want to give urself a really good shot at acceptance, my advice is go undeclared and just stay that extra year at the UC.

thanks everyone!!!

bbb23:

UCB/UCLA: Match
UCSD: Safe Match
UCI: Safety
