5,900 our of 79,000 applicants go accepted to Davis this year which makes this year’s acceptance rate 7.5% . Is this true?!
@collegedreamer167 no that is the target enrollment number - 79,000 applicants, 5,900 enrollment target. They would have accepted perhaps 3x 5,900 (or other multiple depending on their estimated yield of applicants that are accepted and choose to enroll). So probably acceptance rate, not major specific, is closer to 37-38% for this year, which is less than last few years, similar to all the UCs. And for certain competitive majors, the acceptance rate is much lower AND the applicant pool for those majors have much higher stats.
