@aggiemomtobe UC Davis is my daughter’s first choice( we live 30 minutes away from there). but she is ok to go to Cal Poly Slo . Your daughter has high stats, you don’t need to worry about that. She can get in for sure!
According to this reddit thread on r/ applyingtocollege, someone called UC Davis’ admissions office today and confirmed that decisions will drop this Friday, 3/8, at 3 pm PST. (I don’t know how to post the link on here.)
That is interesting… I don’t know why someone at the admissions office would reveal the set date.
Last night I received a response in Direct Message from the UC Davis Official Twitter, saying “- We definitely understand how you feel! While we can’t tell you the exact date, just be on the look out…”
Perhaps it’s because you didn’t contact the admissions office directly, but probably someone who works for the university as a whole
@sdangler2001 I feel like all these “look out for decisions” is their way of saying it will be soon as opposed to pushed to mid march like the website says. good luck
@TCNCmom I feel like so many qualified kids get rejected from their top UC choice so we are hopeful but not counting on it. GOOD LUCK! I’ve heard they release all at once so I hope it doesn’t take 3 days to trickle in like SLO did. I can’t have another weekend of constantly refreshing…
@aggiemomtobe Even SLO isn’t done admitting people. Apparently they haven’t even finished reviewing applications.
sorry wasn’t inferring that SLO was done, just that my daughters particular major took 3 days from the first instate acceptance being posted in this forum…I know many came after hers.
UC Davis’ admissions release is well orchestrated, although technology glitches can occur.
Enjoy this brief time of anticipation and excitement as decisions come in, it only happens once. Friday afternoon after 3:00pm PST is a good bet. I’ve heard of students who log in: in their car in the high school parking lot, at Starbucks, on the couch at home, in the dentist’s office. You will remember where you were when you found out. Then college starts to come into view.
T - minus 40 hours. This has been one of the slowest weeks of my life…
After reviewing my younger sons decision release date last year, it was after 3pm on Friday March 9th 2018. I am wondering if the decisions will be released on Friday March 8th after 3pm for 2019. My son was rejected in 2018. We are also waiting a decision for my daughter to UC Davis. So we will see soon…good luck everyone out there. We had to go through this in 2013, 2018 and now in 2019!
Any hopeful international applicants here? This will be my first UC decision…so excited!!
my portal says pending review-- anyone else? i thought it would say decision pending or something else
Apparently it stays pending until you receive your decision
Someone on here actually contacted Davis admissions yesterday and confirmed they are releasing it tomorrow around 3 pm.
@skcyking72 3pm EST or PST?? Thx!
@lakergirl6232 PST most likely, as Davis is located there
PST is consistent with last year.
So the odds are highly in the favor of tomorrow still?
@sdangler2001 Yes given the trend from previous years, rumors here and on reddit about what the AO said (I doubt these though), and the fact that admitted student’s day is so early. Most schools seem to have admitted student’s days no earlier than 3 weeks from admission if there is only once choice for day. The schools need to give time for people from out town (like me in NY) to make arrangements to get there!
