Hey, I’m also a sociology major and was recently accepted to UCD. Have you taken all of your pre-reqs and do you plan on going to UCD? It looks likes you got into UCLA so I’m assuming you’ll be going there, no?

@Daedalus916
Haha, seriously! Are you going to accept the offer and go to Davis? I’m waiting on my financial aid award from UCI and decision from CAL.

I loved the clip; I was like :D/ :D/
Yes, I am going to accept.
I’m waiting for UCB too, but don’t really have much faith in me getting in ;/ I read somewhere they had an acceptance rate of 17%-the lowest it’s been in years :(( Davis is closer to home anyway. I just wanted to see if I could get in ;x

@daedalus, sacbee?

Yeah, and some news online. 17% acceptance for Fall 2014 semester @-)

Is anyone going to live on campus in the transfer apartments?

Haha yeah my mom mentioned something about that. Insane.

Does anyone know if this statement “Complete all transferable in progress or planned courses with a GPA of 3.20 or higher, with no grade less than “C,” by the end of your spring term” means I need an overall GPA of 3.2, a combined GPA of 3.2 from Fall 2013 and Spring 2014, or my Spring semester GPA on its own to be a 3.2?

I have an overall GPA of 3.52, and I’m sure I’ll still have an overall GPA of at least 3.2. But this semester I’m taking some of my hardest classes and I think this semester’s GPA might be 3.0 or 3.1.

@meghaface It means you need to complete your current classes and your GPA for those classes must be at least 3.20. (Spring only)

@cidzor oh wow…that’s kind of frustrating…

If I had taken these classes last semester and taken last semester’s classes this semester, I would’ve still had a high enough GPA to get accepted (with a TAG) and then would’ve had a 3.7 GPA for Spring. Time to talk to a counselor I guess. I don’t want to submit my SIR and then not be able to even choose UCI if my admission gets revoked…

@lolapola I would if I could, but I have a bf and child in tow, so I have to get shacked up in the Solano Park Apts for families /

@lolapola, which one is cheaper?

@bhav007 I have no idea I was just wondering. I’m pretty sure on campus apartments might be a little more in cost due to being so convenient.

@Daedalus916 Oh I see, well congrats!

One year transfer junior level transfer from a CCC

I’m so excited to attend UC Davis! I got in as a freshman and was unable to go so Im very happy I was able to make the cut this time around also. To everyone that is trying to transfer in one year it is possible, it just takes dedication so keep working hard and the results will show. Also thanks to those you contributed to this thread.
