I didn’t see a UCD thread so I thought I’d make one! Do any of you guys know when decisions start coming out?
Ah, Davis! Here we go!
Ha, I was looking for it yesterday. Glad you set it up.
Decisions will be available on April 17th.
hi guys!
I tagged for Davis, but in Fall I got dropped from an online class (really stupid, I didn’t post for 10 days and he drops those students), and I fell to a part-time student (10 units instead of 12). Does this mean that my TAG will be rescinded? The class did show up as a W, though (im making it up this quarter), does that make a difference?
Hmm, the davis TAG says you have to be a full time student for the prior regular term, which means fall or spring (not summer).

However, they do make exceptions at their discretion. Just hold out and hope for the best. Assuming you are admitted, will they really toss you because of this? Maybe, but not likely. And you may have been accepted anyway in the regular pool of applicants.
Not sure if it would be worth their effort to open up a can of worms over this trivial situation. The only exception would be if you got in to TAG through the skin of your teeth. Then all bets are off.
Chance me? I’m aware that my overall GPA is below the average range, but I’m wondering if my grade trends and CCC GPA will be taken into account.

guys, i am incredibly nervous because the odds arent in my favor…
i was at a four-year my first semester of college and i got a 3.35 gpa, but left because there was a lot of discrimination and what not. and they did not have nutrition, which i have always loved.
i am a lower-div (sophomore) nutrition science major transfer applicant, and well, if i am not mistaken, lower-divs are bottom-of-the-pile.
and well my high school gpa was not terrible (3.8 weighted, 3.6 unweighted.) and my SAT wasnt terrible either (1700) and i passed 4/5 of my AP tests and took a community college class in high school as well, and participated in quite a few things. but my stats are a bit under the freshman class which i feel is going to hurt me… although my college gpa is within the transfer range… BARELY.
and well, i am really into my major and stuff and do things relevant to my major by like consulting people and coaching people to health, but i just feel really scared because i am a lower division major.
i know i have another year, but it would be nice to not need to stress about the application process a third year in a row, and transition later.
and i dont know, i guess i feel that talking about it might help me feel better about accepting the decision i am given.
i have 34 units under my belt already, with most if not all of them being IGETC breadth classes.
@roslyn sorry, but you are not eligible if you only have 34 units completed. Do you have any AP credit, or units in progress? You have to have 60 UC transferable units by the end of Spring prior to fall enrollment at at UC.
http://admissions.ucdavis.edu/admission/transfers/ says
“Applicants must be college juniors, with 60 semester (90 quarter) units—lower-division students may be considered for admission to the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences only if space is available.”
An unfortunately psychology is not in the CAE.
For transfer admission, your HS GPA and SAT don’t matter.
Also, be wary of unit caps.
@luckie1367 interesting. but nutrition science is in the college of agricultural and environmental sciences. so i guess i am just wondering if you maybe got mixed up? because i am mot majoring in psych. haha
and
http://admissions.ucdavis.edu/admission/transfers/tr_special_situations.cfm
and i also thought that lower divs had to be partially inspected as high school students.
