<p>All right, so I’ve finished applying to UC’s, and if all goes as I’d like I’ll be attending Davis starting Fall 2014. </p>
<p>I’m from Southern California and know absolutely no one from that area, and my question is when would I go about looking for off campus housing? And is there an easy way to find roommates? I know its a bit premature to be even thinking about this, but I’d really like to be prepared, especially since I’m about a 6-7 hour drive away.</p>
<p>Definitely not too early to start looking; the best places go early.</p>
<p>The best websites to find roommates in my experience are uloop and craigslist. Some places also have roommate matching programs.</p>
<p>To find apartments, look on Daviswiki and look in the areas you want (Central Davis and Downtown are closest to campus.) Since you live far away and may not be able to sign your own lease in time, you may want to consider finding someone who’s looking for roommates.</p>
