UC DAVIS OR UCSB??

ok so I am a transfer student looking to either get into a pa school or go to med school after I get my bachelors degree There are so many good things about both schools. If I go to UC Davis, I have registered with one of the elite uc schools that happens to have a med school and various opportunities to apply for medical internships to better prepare me and make my application for graduate school stronger. But I feel like UC Davis already has so many kids that are looking to achieve the same things, so it would make it harder to compete with so many other bio majors. But it would be good bc I wouldnt be distracted by partying. Now for UCSB, I know they are not well known for premed, but I heard that there is more help available for students struggling in physics and o chem as opposed to uc davis where you need to pay more to recieve extra help. Are the o chem and physics professors at UCSB easier to get an A in than those of UC Davis? I also heard that it is really easy to get shadowing positions at the hospitals near ucsb to help enhance an application for med school. I dont want to go to ucsb and regret my decision because those who went to uc davis had a greater chance of getting into med school. Do med schools really care about what university you come from and which prestigous hospitals you get an internship at? Now going away from the academic side and focusing on the social scene I am well aware of the partying going on at sb just as everyone else is. But is it easier to make friends in UCSB as opposed to UC Davis? I want to build strong relationships with my classmates and those I live with.

There is no one here can answer your questions.
First time poster and you are asking such personal questions? Even if you got some answers, can you believe them?

Generalized answer here, but I don’t think the party school atmosphere at UCSB is useful for your mission on becoming a physician. When I visited some of my friends their last spring, some kids even drank vodka and scotch in the middle of a lecture hall! Not to mention there is a whole club devoted to just wine pong and beer pong.

It might work for some, but those types of places don’t allow me to get any work done.
