UC Davis TAG 3.2 now

Okay I’ll do it in the fall then. You have no idea how relieved I am. Math and me don’t get along very well. And yes, I do have my frosh English course right now, I expect to pass it. I’ll take the second one required also. Thanks for your help!

You’re welcome. Math is my weakness too. I was so nervous before taking it, thinking it’ll ruin my GPA. What I did was I took fewer classes in the fall it took math than I usually do. I took/take 4 classes a quarter and only took 3 that fall so I could concentrate on math. It worked and I got an A (never expected that, my teacher was really tough).
Hope everything works out for you!

On the tag requirement, it says “If one course from the
Biological Sciences course is completed at the time the tag is submitted, that course must be completed with a B grade
or higher.” So say I get a C in the first biological sciences course, can I still apply for tag provided I have met the 3.2 gpa,
chemistry and math requirements? And if I take the second biological course after the tag date, (say spring 2012) and get
a B, will my tag be approved? Because it says, "By the end of spring 2012, if courses comparable to to two UC Davis
Biological Science courses are completed, a group GPA of 2.50 is required. A 2.50 is a C in one class, and a B in another,
so if I get a B in the second class which I take after I TAG date, will that be valid?

Just wondering, if we fall short less than 3.2 GPa. Would any UC’s beside UC riverside, merced, and santa Cruz, actually consider us?

bjt223: I don’t believe so. UC Irvine’s TAG is still at a 3.0 though! So we have a chance there!

You won’t qualify for UCI’s TAG if you take your transferable math course this Fall, vikram.

Hayward1991: I’m taking pre-calculus this summer! Wish me luck LOL.
I’m also taking chemistry AND film.
I might drop film before the W period though.

Awesome, best of luck. :] You’re set for UCI’s TAG then. I’m taking Stats in the Fall and I’m not a full time student now, and I won’t be next Fall or Spring so the only TAG I qualify for are UCSB, UCSD (3.67 GPA and 40 transferable units done) , and UCSC. (Not considering UCR or UCM)

Have you chosen where to TAG yet? I’m leaning towards UCSB. Sucks that we only get 1 TAG :(

I just finished talking to my counselor. She said I can TAG to Davis with a psych-bio major. I prefer Davis since it’s close to home, but not too close or far. I’m liking irvine and SB also though. Davis is just my first (and please be only) choice.
My counselor said that being part time this spring semester doesn’t matter, they aren’t so strict about it. But if you’re part time in the fall, they’re a bit more strict. So try and add more units! What major are you btw?
