@MYOS1634 Ok thanks! My three a levels are math, physics and geography! Only physics and geography are qualified for credit transfer! ( hope I can improve my math in the college!) But I don’t know how to write an evaluation? Is it a letter which explains my alevel results? I took 3 AS level and the other one is h1 level, which is economics, I studied AS level economics until prelim, and I was persuaded to drop it one month before my alevel:( the predicted result for my AS econs is B but I dropped it last minute therefore I don’t think it will help me to earn any credit:( the reason why I dropped it is because I need more time to improve my math and do us application,. I took November alevel exam therefore it is conflicted with Ea/ed application and I did not manage it very well. I wish I have dropped math instead of economics when I received my alevel results in March:(

All you have to do is submit your AS and A Level official results (subject, results). The college will do the evaluation for you.
Physics and Geography will likely give you 2 semesters’ worth of credits each. Math is iffier, but you’re likely to get placement, not sure about actual credit.
You can also submit your AS Level Economics predicted results but since you didn’t take the exam I doubt you’ll get credit for it. In addition, it’ll be a good 1st semester class for you to have - good review and a stronger foundation class in which to get an A.

“Because if not you would likely find the mandatory weekly chapel and bible study problematic.”

What mandatory chapel and bible study? I think you may be confusing IWU with some other college.

^Hanna, that comment was referring to Pepperdine (discussed then and dismissed by OP)

As an international student, this student is presuming that he will find easy sponsorship by a US company after graduation. Needs to know the options.

@MYOS1634 one of the IWU told me only maximum 8 credits can be transferred to their school:( as they prefer students to pursue most of their credits on campus, is that true? I am ready to submit the deposit already but this comment make me hesitate, if all 16 credits cannot be transferred I will be very sad:(

@"aunt bea" hello! Thanks for your reply! Can you be more specific of what a “easy sponsorship” referring to? I think I have a higher probability of pursuing a graduate degree but I am not very particular about the places of work:) if i can get internship during my undergraduate and graduate studies I will be very happy, but I am also perfectly fine with going back to my home country for work, as long as i am doing what I am passionate for:)

Negotiate.
First, ask what they mean by “8 credits” (ie., 1 course= 1 credit? 3 credits? 4 credits?); ask whether they may consider 8 credits AND higher placement int the relevant subject? Explain you’d like credit corresponding to one course in physical geography, which is correlated with geology; one course for human geography; and one course in Physics with placement at the appropriate level, since you took the equivalent of … (give the appropriate course number, likely 105; https://www.iwu.edu/physics/courses/CourseDescriptions.html) - specify that you’ll be sending a description of the course so that instructors can decide on the appropriate level, but that the Alevel curriculum’s rigor should be satisfying.
Ask if you’ll be able to take a math placement exam, too, since you took the equivalent of two college semesters of calculus even though you did poorly in the exam and understand you can’t get credit for it.

@MYOS1634 WOW! You r so genius! I feel so fortunate of having the opportunity to ask your suggestion on cc! U really helped me a lot! So should I do those work after I submit the deposit or before submitting? Should I start asking the admission officers about the specific criteria about alevel credit transfer now?

This way, even if you don’t get credit, you still skip a class and don’t waste time :), progressing more quickly toward your goals. Higher placement in physics is unlikely to be necessary since you may not continue with it.

You ask now, BEFORE submitting your deposit. You may not get an immediate answer but it’ll get the ball rolling.
Explain it’s the one thing that’s making you hesitate because things are straightforward with UC Davis (state what offer they made you - probably because they’re more used to British-system applicants, although IWU does have a lot of international students too.)

@MYOS1634 yeah! I think I will do it right now! Thank you for your advice! I actually don’t know what I am going to do for my career when I first chose my alevel course therefore I chose two human subjects and two science subjects, things turned out that I can do very well for arts subjects and struggle throughout my two years during my high school for math and physics. When the principal told me they wish me to drop one AS subject I chose to drop econs as everyone told me math is more important than econs and without math my course of studies will be very limited for my undergraduate studies, with the fact that my predicted math result is C and econs is B. Through my interview with the Pepperdine ao, he told me he wished my AS geog would be econs as it will help with my biz career more. Now I can only transfer credits for physics and geography which r least necessary for biz. I think we all improve through making mistakes:) But I do appreciate the fact that I love geography a lot, it helps me to open up my perspectives to the world:)
