UC Davis vs Stanford FOOTBALL. be there!

Sup all,
Hope you guys are all excited to be future aggies. There are few better ways to show your school pride than to show up in force for school sports. You graduating seniors are in for one of the longest summers of your lives and by the time Septemeber 17 rolls around you’ll be ready for college. Luckily for those in the Bay Area who are anxious to meet and hang with fellow Aggies we’re playing STANFORD in Palo Alto in Football on Sept 17th. This game is going to be huge…HUGE…it’s all about EXPOSURE and this game provides it. By Sept 17 you are going to be at home and most of your pals are going to be off to college, so rally the few friends left and take them to the game wearing BLUE and GOLD.

I live in Palo Alto (about 2 minutes from stanford campus) so i'll defenitely be there. Now the real question is- who should i root for?

...wait, who am i kidding?

GO AGS! DOWN WITH THE CARDS! WOOOOOOOO! BLUE AND GOLD ALL THE WAY BABY!!!

How does one acquire tickets to this event? Where are the particulars posted (time, map to parking?)

do NOT purchase tickets through the UC Davis Box Office! $tanfurd has only provided us with $30 "UC Davis section" tickets! Instead, purchase the normal $8 general admission ticket! They should be available online (or by phone) from $tanfurd in August. Game time has not been released yet.

There is tons of parking all around the stadium and, because it's $tanfurd, it's free!

As for more on the game...

This is the BIGGEST FOOTBALL GAME IN UC DAVIS HISTORY! For years UC Davis football has dominated Division 2. This is our first step in establishing a true D1 COLLEGE FOOTBALL atmosphere! This is all about exposure. To lots of people, UCD is a farm school, a vet school, or some UC that nobody's heard about. It all ends on September 17th. On September 18th they'll know about UC Davis in Topeka, Kansas. This game is a statement and if we bring a large crowd we will make it an EVENT not to be missed. Aggie Pack (the student cheering section) and the Alumni association have plans in the works to make this an incredible experience (especially when we upset $tanfurd)!

The athletic department reports that alumni are flying in from all over the country just for this game and they expect 10,000-15,000 alums!

They call $tanfurd "The Farm." Let's show those $tanfurd students what a real farm school is.

...and don't forget to come up to Davis early to go to the Causeway Classic (football rivalry game vs. Suc State) in Sacramento on September 24th!

The Athletic Department has just posted information about the pre-game festivities, as well as tickets and lodging, on their website. Highlights include:

roundtrip bus transportation between Davis and $tanfurd

Aggie Pregame Festival from 2 to 6 pm

food and beverages

the Band-uh!, Alumni Band-uh!, Dance Team, Cheerleaders, and Gunrock

how awesome. this is so exciting! i'll definitely be there!

Hey, I might be able to go to this. It's only a few days before school starts, right?

I think it's a week before move-in day for the dorms.

Fall quarter begins on 9/26 and classes start on 9/29.
