I definitely think so. The only game that wasn’t enjoyable for me was the disaster against Stanford.

I feel like Cal fans were more pumped for the Oregon game, and I’m not just saying that because we lost so terribly to Stanford. Even before we were losing (for a good one minute or something) the crowd was dead. It was kind of sad.

Absolutely. For the most part, the home games were enjoyable to watch. Besides, private universities with an equivalent football team would charge much more than what we paid for season tickets.

Not exactly. Stanford (THE private university which until this year had a roughly equivalent football team; now they’re better) allows all students into the games for free. They also give them vouchers redeemable at the food courts around their stadium. And get this, they even give students free tickets to the Big Game AT CAL if they’ve been to enough home games earlier in the year. I’m not even joking. My brother (Stanford undergrad) went to the Big Game in 2008, but he didn’t go to the game last weekend because he was too busy. I guess you’ve got to be a fan in the first place for the free tickets to even matter.

Definitely worth it. The first 5 home games were really awesome, and I probably would’ve paid 100 just for those (especially since the big game was so painful to watch).

Worth it, no matter how well or terrible we do, it is Cal Football.

I think the reason the fans sucked at the big game was because it was all the people who don’t usually watch football games. They only decided to go because it was the “Big Game”

The fans were WAY WAY better at Oregon because all those casual fans who don’t care about football didn’t bother to go to the game. And, it was rainy and cold. So the only people left over were the best, loudest fans.

I actually got mad at the people around me during the big game because nobody was being loud even when the game was close at the beginning. It was honestly pathetic, because even the game against UCLA had more cheering.

So please, if you’re a casual fan who doesn’t really care about football, don’t come out for the big game JUST because it’s the big game.

you’re an idiot

Are you kidding me? It actually helps the team when people are cheering and screaming their heads off. It DOES NOT help when casual fans are lethargic and apathetic.

You’re a dumb. Get some *ing school spirit

You got mad at people who were shocked to see Brock drop the ball in the FIRST play of the game (and consequently Stanford recovering)? lmao.

let me guess, you were the one sitting alone without any friends during the game.

I LOVE CAL and I’m so glad I bought my season tix! I’m not a football fan at all, but the social experience was so worth it. I even learned a bit about football too.

If you do care, at least cheer for our last game this weekend so we can end with a 0.500 winning season and go to a bowl.

give me your ticketand i’ll go. it’ll be raining too
