UC Davis vs. UCLA Dilemma, engineering vs. applied math

I think I’ve narrowed down my choices to between UC Davis and UCLA.
I adore the campuses of both, but my only problem is with my majors. I applied to UC Davis as Computer Engineering and UCLA as Applied Math. I’m just having trouble being able to make a decision on my major.
I am really interested in computer programming and engineering, but I’m also very passionate about math and I consider it a strong point of mine.
I’m just worried about the job opportunities that come with an applied math major: Will I be able to get a job easily with a BS in applied math? I know that UCLA ranks #2 in Applied Math (according to a report), so I know that I will have a good mathematics education coming from it.
With Davis, Computer Engineering for me would provide proximity to Silicon Valley, but it’s not a top engineering school (considering I got into UCSD for Chancellor’s but didn’t like the campus/environment at all, feel free to make comments about this).
I’m just really debating and I don’t know what to do, I need your assistance!

I’m willing to wager it will provide all the challenge you can handle.

@mikemac This may be a late reply, but this is a once in a life time chance. A friend of mine is doing Applied Math at UCLA and claims while it is somewhat of a challenge, that he’s having the time of his life. I’d say UCLA.

@honcho I actually SIRed to UCLA lol

@collegecurious29 Awesome, grats! Have fun being a bruin!

Only in UCLA you have the chance to take math classes with the greatest mathematician alive (Terence Tao!).
