Hi all. I have not posted previously, but I have been following your posts for the past month. My son is also on this waitlist. Like many of you, my son and I have called UCD several times and received the same answers that you have posted here. I called on Friday, and as @Cynntrigg stated, the admissions office was under the impression that a wave of students was expected to be released on Monday 06/01. 06/01 came and went with nothing. My oldest son attends UCD and had previously given me the number @Cynntrigg posted here for Shirley. I spoke with Shirley this morning. They are still waiting, UC wide, for the final admits from the waitlist. Shirley stated they do anticipate offers of admission to be sent to students still on the waitlist, but since UCD is waiting on UC as a whole she could not confirm when. Shirley felt they are hoping to send additional admits by the end of this week, but could be until the middle of June. Lets hope not. Again it would be determined by the availability of open spaces within departments.
I know you all are very stressed out, and I am pulling for each of you that are still waiting.

@aarellia thanks for the clarification. What’s frustrating is that starting June 1st, it was supposed to be TAG waitlist . So some of us who are HS waitlist have no idea where this mess is leading to - is your son HS or transfer waitlist?
He’s HS. I asked Shirley about that and I got the impression that TAG is in the same waiting/holding pattern with UC as a whole.
@darnwaitlist my son is in same college as you, as an Animal Science major.
My heart aches for all of you who have worked so hard and already waited months to get to initial admission letters. This wait list is a killer. We have been hoping our sons will attend college together, and they were looking forward to it as well. Don’t give up yet, the game is not over.
UCD is a great school and I hope all of you get admitted. To get this far you all have shown that you have the tools to be successful, regardless what happens with UCD. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
@aarellia I am sure you realize that several people in this thread who were accepted from waitlist, in other major’s and colleges. Hence my diminishing hope - whether this College of A&E has any spots left or not (given it’s popularity) - and we are just collateral damage simply waiting for the the dreaded letter. It’s a scary thought to think if this is a leading indicator of how UCD actually works / runs. One would wonder if we should go or not, even if accepted 
@darnwaitlist I hear you, have had those feelings, and expressed that concern as well. A little comfort was provided in learning that this delay is coming from UC as whole. It’s not at the campus level. None the less an email notification to those on the wait list saying as much should have been provided.
I’m excited for all those that have been accepted but extremely frustrated for the delay to those trying to plan the next step in their future.
Davis is now saying they don’t know if they’re going to do another wave. This is from Ms. Sun:
I’m sure you have all heard at this point that, for freshman applicants, most UCs have either removed the waitlist decision notification date altogether or changed it to late summer. Keep in mind that the waitlist is created to benefit the UC campuses (better control over yield), not to benefit the students. It’s time to move on with your life. Go forth and make the absolute best experience you can at the college that welcomed you with open arms!

Does it matter at this point? What are you going to do about housing if you come off the waitlist in July or August? What about orientation? Your registration appointment will be so late that you may not get any of the classes you want; what then?
@12345ca i wouldnt look soo much into this… I mean i know she knows her stuff I guess. But of course it matters at this point! You know what they say it ain’t over 'till its over!
& For housing, at UCD all waitlist admits are GUARANTEED housing. When I was admitted I had 10 days to pay my housing deposit, and if you are admitted into EOP then you also have the option of doing a payment installment plan of two payments, the second being due on June 15th.
Orientation dates can still be taken care of, and we wont actually register for classes until orientation. We recently received an email about the Math and Chem placement exams and ill put the dates for those, they go by college, do not require a fee, and are taken online.

College of Letters & Science: June 23 - July 2
College of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences: June 30 - July 9
College of Biological Sciences: July 7 - July 16
College of Engineering: July 14 - July 23
—For the Chem placement exams:
College of Letters & Science: June 23 - July 2
College of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences: June 30 - July 9
College of Biological Sciences: July 7 - July 16

Congrats @jodwyo ! Wish you all the best at UCD! If my memory serves me right, you are going to College of A&E - Animal sciences, right? Also, you were in the transfer wait list, right?
