UC Davis - Why are you not a full-time student? Response

Hello guys, I applied to TAG for UC Davis and I recently got this email:
"Thank you for your application to UC Davis. Before we can complete our review, we need the following information from you:

Thank you for informing UC Davis in your TAG that you would not be a full-time student in Spring 2020. Your TAG indicates you would be full-time in Winter 2020; however, your Transfer Academic Update (TAU) indicates you dropped two (2) courses and will end the Winter quarter with four (4) units. Please explain why you are less than full-time in Winter 2020."

I wrote this response and I was wondering if this would suffice?
“In Winter 2020 (and also Spring 2020), I have chosen to not maintain full-time status because I am working a part-time job as a student tutor. Also, I have already completed all necessary courses needed for transfer and major preparation so there is no need to be a full-time student. I took the majority of courses in my first year where I had over 20 units for some quarters/semesters. Thank you for understanding!”

The second part you should remove. The Davis TAG rule is full-time student unless working about 20 hours a week. If you are volunteering as a tutor that might not suffice so hopefully you are getting paid. They might ask for work stubs.

Hello. Thanks for your reply!

Unfortunately, I can’t remove that portion as I already submitted it. I am not volunteering as a tutor.

However, the first part should already be good enough, right? If I already completed everything needed (IGETC, Major, etc.), there’s no reason to be taking other unnecessary classes.

I also forgot to add here that I talked about taking care of my grandmother who has some physical health conditions.

This isn’t going to revoke my TAG, right?

It might. The public rule is you need to be working. I guess you’ll find out soon enough.
