UC decision dates...

Assuming that I will do good in community college, Do you think I will haf chances to get accepted to Cal? USC?
Accounting Major
3.3 Current HS GPA

To Cal, yes, if you do good: duh. High school records don't matter for transfers from CA community colleges to UCs.

Will: I applied to UCB, UCSD, UCLA, and UCSB

I have a 3.29 gpa and no EC's. I'm a Poli Sci major. I also have a heavy courseload this semester (22 units)

In anticipation for getting rejected from these schools, I recently applied to USD and LMU.

you have a good chance at UCSB, probably should've applied to more UC's just in case.

Yeah I definately regret not applying to more UC's, especially UCI.

Coast you've got a pretty decent chance at UCSB. Depending on what school you chose UCSD could also still be a possibility.

I actually have a (TAG) with UCSD, so I'll probably get accepted there. I applied to Muir. To be honest though, I don't really want to go there. The "no transfer housing" + commuter school + lack of much of a social scene identity is a big turn-off for me.

I agree with allena 100%, except about the school choice for UCSD. Does that really make a difference?

does muir not accept IGETC as well?

"Computer Salesman: 30 hours a week
Store clerk: 12 hours a week
English tutor: 7 hours a week
Volunteer Track coach: 10 hours a week"

Willdo, wow you have 30+12+7+10=59 hours per week (woah, much more than a full time worker can do) outside of class activities... and you handle a 3.68 GPA in college?
That is super duper impressive[est][estest...to the infinity[est]] :D

He prolly did one at a time =/

hehe, thanks Kev. I only worked the 30 hour shift at Best Buy for 4.5 months tho! Sleep deprivation makes me crazy...

what's an IGETC again?

Willdo, were you working with all those jobs at the same time? I'm quite not clear.. hmm

Hobo, Intersegemental General Education Transfer Curriculum = IGETC

I worked The best buy job with the store clerk job. Then quit and worked the other jobs with the store clerk job.

OH NO!!!!!!!!!!

I decided to check my application I turned in and I entered the workdates wrong for my tuoring job! I wrote that I worked it in 04 when I started in 05!!! **** **** ****! My gut feeling tells me this isn't a big deal tho...am I right?

i hope u have several assistants helping u out w/ those jobs. :)

dude willdo, you'll get rejected automatically

j/k... they probably won't even check

Willdo, it is an error but it is not a major problem... it should be fine.

By the way, does anyone know how much important is the employment in the admission process?

Hmm...that mistake makes it looks like I work insane hours a week tho...
