Hey hey hey... hobo, don't make it wrong... i said Willdo is "Psycho[logy] major" :D ok...

Come on Willdo, just relax, be happy and even be proud of with your 3.6+ GPA...I bet you have put a lot of effort to earn it and that is already an accomplishment; at least it should be an accomplishment in your own perception.

I think Willdo receives the latest award for incessant worrying. :)

Oh damn...I think my chances at UCLA and Berkeley just dropped dramatically. I have a 3.68 and I'm applying as a psych major. I'm not much above the minimum GPA...
[/QUOTE]

You read it wrong. It said 3.6 or higher "is recommended," not the MINIMUM--big difference. (The minimum GPA is 3.0.) However, psychology is in the social sciences division, so it is very tough. And ha, a 3.68 is considered a 3.68, not a 3.6 :)

yeah... gabew42, that is a very good lecture for basic math concept: 3.68 is always equal to 3.68, not 3.6 :D hopefully Willdo WILL DO learn this fact soon :D j/k

anything 5 or higher round up, so willdo has a 3.7 =) woot.

Well I had a 3.91 in the last two years...it was my first year that really screwed me over. I hope they will take into account my grade trend. it says 3.6 or higher is reccomended!? Where!? I only read 3.5 is the minimum gpa for acceptance. Oh gawd so I'm only .08 gpa above the reccomended gpa!?!?!? I feel sick to my stomach.

I was talking about Berkeley; are you talking about UCLA?

well this academic week is comming to an end. Hopefully we'll have some answers from SB and SD next week, but again i wouldn't count on it.

good night guys.

Be fair guys, do the honors at midnight and not earlier. :)

gabe...I was talking abotu UCLA...but that news abotu berkeley is even more heartwrenching...AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I'm losing it!

You're almost 2 points above the 3.5 mark! You'll be fine.

BTW, I think i have the most unique story out of everyone.

I only choose my major about a month b4 deadline as:
UCLA: Earth Science BA
UCSB: Geological Science: Earth Systems BS
UCSD: Earth science-chem BS

I am only interested in majoring in earth science at UCLA. I have most prereqs done for UCLA, but missing a lot for SB and SD.

I expect to get into SB b/c i have IGETC and proper GPA>

But I am missing quite a bit for SD, so i shouldn't really expect to get in there. But, i don't care since i don't really wanna go there as of right.

For UCLA, i'd really wanna go there. Don't wanna say anything about my chances.

BUt, it been a funny path that I've taken. I started out CC as bio major, then wanted to chem, but dind't like too much calc, so decided to go back to bio, but the bio teacher that i took gave tests where average was like 35%, so i dropped that class. After all of that I became an earth science major. LOL

Highschoolda, San Diego doesn't consider your prereqs, just GPA (except for the majors they screen for --not earth science as far as I know).

LOL. They don't round it THAT way. Although, I wish they had. Then again, everyone would have higher GPAs if the adcoms did that. What am I talking about? I need to get out more. LOL.

anything 5 or higher is not rounded up. so if you have a 3.68 it is a 3.68. But if you have a 3.685 then it rounds up to 3.69.

I have a gut wrenching feeling that I might not be your fellow bruin classmate this fall nikkei :-(...

Gah, I'm acting hella foolish. What's done is done. There's no point in worrying. I'm just wasting my own personal time and energy!

why, because your going to be a golden bear? =)

NO! Don't say that WillDO! DON'T GIVE UP! I KNOW WE CAN DO IT! I KNOW WE CAN GET IN! JUST BELIEVE! We are going to be each other's bruin classmates whether UCLA likes it or not. I hope the UCLA adcoms are not reading this...:eeps:

if we do, can I take your 325i out for a spin sometime?

lol hobo ^_^
