The requirements for admission to any UC school state that one must earn at least a C in all required classes.

I am a good student. I have mostly A's with a few A-'s and I take mostly honors courses.

However, due to a complicated situation, I received a D+ in honors math Sophomore year.

I've had A's in math both Junior and Freshman year, and I will most likely end the year with an A my senior year.

Only three math classes are required. Does this mean that I am eligible despite my poor math grade?

call them and ask, tell them now rather than later. They will probably have you fill out a form that makes you explain why you got it etc. etc. And do not write that your teacher was mean to you for the love of god.

How did you move on to the next math class if you got a D+, I thought you needed at least a C.

I have been worrying about the same thing… but I read the UC eligibility thing over and over again and I think as long as you get a passing grade in the next math class in sequence then your D is validated… I HOPE!

Instead of hoping, confirm, call and ask, don’t leave important things like this to chance…
