<p>UC suggests that the total of 2 essays be no more than 1000 words. each essay no less than 250 words.</p>
<p>mine is 300 + 500 = 800. </p>
<p>200 short of the maximum. Should I be concerned - will the adcoms think that I wasted an opportunity to tell them more about myself.</p>
<p>I’m having the same issue… Mine will probably end up being around 800 total. I did hear from someone who was on the admissions committee at Carleton that if you can get your point across in fewer than the max word count, it works in your favor, but I don’t know about at UC schools.</p>
