UC Essay topic not related to Major

<p>Hi,</p>

<p>Is it ok to write about a subject you did will in in high school on the UC Educational Opportunities question even if it is not related to your choice of major?
I am talking about my strength in languages (Spanish in particular) in my essay, but my choice of major is Psychology.
What do you think? Is it better to just put down Spanish as my major and change it later?</p>

<p>I don't think it matters. I'm writing one on history but my major is chemistry.</p>

<p>Most students change their majors anyway. So it doesn't really matter.</p>
