Will the UCs be ****ed that my essays have 193, 224, and 584 words respectively for a total of 1009 words? I really can't cut out any more from the 224 word essay.

I think that is okay, mine was approx 1025 and the online application allowed it! :)

thanks! now i can stop worrying so much!

Did they still give you an error message at 1025?

I got by with 1088.

most online essays will allow for up to 100-200 more because they assume that there will probably be an average of 100-200 tiny words (such as "a" "an" "I" "and" ect) that have little significant word value other than making it an actual essay grammer wise

actually you're wrong shoebox.... UC app didn't. you were allowed only 25 words above the limit

wow, all of my online ones last year (5) allowed for atleast a hundred, sometimes two...i guess it varies per college, and since UC system is so massive, an extra hundred words per applicant can REALLY add up
