UC foreign language requirement?!?!?!

I am a senior and I took japanese 1a and 1b at my local community college back in freshman year that TECHNICALLY counts as 2 years of language (uc requirement). My high school counselor and the community college have confirmed that it is transferable and equal to 2 years of high school language.

When I filled out the UC app it said I was missing a year of language - an error. My counselor contacted the headquarters of the UC application site by phone and they confirmed an error in the application system. To solve the confusion I decided to put on my app that spring semester I would take japanese 2 - equivalent of 3 years. I also wrote a note in part of the application saying I might take it due to other reasons that below though.

I want to drop this class, it has been three years since I took it, it is REALLY time consuming, and plan to take spanish anyways in college. I attempted to go to the first class but ended up having an anxiety attack and couldn't stop crying, I just sat in the parking lot for an hour hyperventilating - pitiful and wimpy, I know. This happened last time I took japanese.

Should I drop it? I feel like because of all the crazy technicalities with the UC application if I report I dropped (without a W even) I might be rejected mistakenly for not fullfilling a-g.

Help?!

and PS I got an B and later an A in the two classes I did take. I can pass it, it just takes ridiculous amounts of work to compete with the anime fanatics/native speakers. I have a plenty hard senior schedule and should be competitive for ucsd or so. so....GHAHFDKF:KFJE Im so torn.

You sound miserable and I think the person who can help you the most is your guidance counselor. He/She knows you, UC, and the courses at your high school the best but in my opinion, there is no point in taking a class you hate if it won’t severely hurt you (eligibility wise)
